“Music is the literature of the heart; it commences where speech ends.” ― Alphonse de Lamartine
On this day of global recognition to the power and beauty of music, we echo the famous words of A. Lamartine. Our Bright Moments program utilizes the power of music in a most amazing way, knowing very well that music commences where speech ends. This program has brought moments of light to many hospice patients in our service suffering from cognitive decline, Alzheimer's, or dementia. It is truly a beautiful experience to witness the moment a special internal light comes on, as someone hears a favorite tune. Music touches the very soul of humanity.
